I love this kind of humble and sober religious buildings, so I may be overly enthusiastic, but I think it's beautiful. I couldn't visit the interior because it was closed, so thanks for uploading the interior photos! 😍

Watchtower with incredible views. The climb has some hard sections, especially the last one. But once you get to the top the effort is worth it. You can go up from the Roques Blanques cemetery, being the longest climb, or from the Ermita de l Salut, the latter allows you to make a technical stop before the last section of the climb.

Peak of 341 m. altitude, located between the municipalities of Papiol and Sant Cugat del Vallès, in the Collserola mountain range. At the highest part there is a 16 meter high fire watch tower, and at its foot there is the Hermitage of Health and the geodesic vertex 286123001. It is also known of the existence of a Iberian town on top of the hill. The place is a splendid viewpoint of the Baix Llobregat, the ridge of Collserola, the mountains of Montserrat, Sant Llorenç del Munt and Vallès beyond to Montseny. The importance of this natural space is evidenced in recent studies, such as the one that indicates the presence of interesting lichens. In particular, it is important, due to its uniqueness, the first appointment for Catalonia, in terms of cryptogamic flora, of the species "Porina byssophila". This was detected in the lichen surveys in the Escletxes de Papiol and Puigmadrona, and 38 saxicolous and terrestrial lichens have been catalogued, of which 32 are new taxa for the flora of the Collserola Park, such as the one mentioned (Bolea, et al .: 2010: 354). It is the highest point that dominates the entire municipality. This peak is included in the list of the 100 peaks of the FEEC. https://www.feec.cat/activitats/100-cims/cim/puig-madrona/

The hermitage has been documented since the end of the s. IX where in a parchment from the chapter archive of the headquarters of Barcelona it mentions the current hermitage under the name "parróquia de Santa Madrona". However, in the 14th century the dedication changed to Sant Pere and is currently dedicated to Our Lady of Health. It is a simple construction, with very little decoration, but in an excellent state of preservation. The building was initially a single nave, with a possible quadrangular head and a wooden roof dating from the s. X. In an extension to the s. In the 11th century, a triple head with a semicircular apse and two apsidioles on the sides, a barrel vault with fascinted arches was added and the nave was enlarged, becoming longer and, possibly, higher. The buttresses are evident on the outside. At the feet there is an interesting twin window with a capital of acanthus leaves on a small column, few of which are preserved in pre-Romanesque architecture. The central apse has Lombard arching and pilasters typical of Catalan Romanesque architecture. In addition, the central door, also built in the s. XI, presents a porticoed door decorated with a half-point arch inscribed on the wall that generates a tympanum today without decoration.

Currently there is an equestrian center but the building on the property was built at the end of the s. XV or beginning of the s. XVI and its interior preserves remains of the time. The property has a sundial that has a frame in which the date (1868) is inscribed and a phrase: "The hours flee - quickly they flee - and they do not return."

Also known as Can Barba de Madrona, it is located at the foot of Puig Madrona, on the path that leads to Can Domènech. The first documents that tell us about the existence of the farmhouse date back to the 13th century. During the French War (1808-1812), the farmhouse was looted and destroyed by Napoleon's troops. During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) the farmhouse was seized and became a weapons depot and powder keg. It currently belongs to the Companyia de Jesús.
