Located on the northern slopes of Montserrat, this former 10th-century Benedictine monastery is one of the oldest in the area. Its restored Romanesque church now houses a contemporary art space dedicated to Sean Scully.

It was the beginning of a route but the enemy was very cool.

Following the signpost, the hiker will find not just one, but a group of three crosses on this mountain – as the name "Coll de Tres Creus" suggests. A wayside cross or summit cross commemorates the death of Jesus Christ, and always the middle one. The other two are not without reason: According to the biblical tradition of the New Testament, Jesus Christ, accused of being the "King of the Jews," was condemned and executed not alone, but together with two criminals (see, for example, the Gospel of Luke 22:33): + "They came to the place called the Place of the Skull, and there they crucified him and the criminals, one on his right and the other on his left." +

Saint CECILIA, to whom this chapel was dedicated, is, among the great circle of saints, primarily responsible - if one can put it so casually at this point - for good sound, because she is the patron saint of church music. Many religious choirs are named after her. The patron saint's day, i.e. her memorial day in the calendar of saints, is on November 22nd.
