Finca Binifaldo has existed since the Arabs were on Mallorca. Binifaldo means "Beni Haldo" = son of Haldo. The finca is surrounded by a beautiful mountain landscape. Nearby there is an ancient holm oak, 500 years old, 20 m high and with a crown circumference of 19 m. It is marked as a natural monument.

The access to the Binifaldo was still closed in the dark, if necessary the gate will be opened during the day. The way there was an experience, at least at night. From time to time sheep appear out of nowhere between holm oaks. From Binifaldo there is also a small but informative nature trail.

This refuge on the Pedra en Sec GR 221 route is located on the Son Amer estate, with an area of 103 ha, located on top of a hill from which you can visually dominate the entire Lluc valley, in the Tramuntana mountains. Thanks to its location, it can serve as a starting point or arrival point for excursions of great interest, such as the old path of Lluc, the ascent to Puig Tomir through Coll Pelat, the ascent to Sa Mola and Puig d'en Galileu, the old road to Pollença and, in short, all those whose center is the monastery of Lluc, which can be reached from Son Amer along a mule track. You can also take excursions through the public estates of Binifaldó, Menut and Ses Figueroles.
