Located at the southernmost point of the Balearic Islands, the Barbària lighthouse is one of the most emblematic points on the island of Formentera surrounded by an arid-looking landscape with little vegetation, but with incredible views of the sea. It is an ideal place to enjoy the impressive sunsets over the Mediterranean. The road that leads to the lighthouse, from the town of Sant Francesc de Formentera, is paved, although it is a narrow passage. Near the lighthouse, the old defense tower Des Garroveret also stands out.

The only asphalted climb that goes from the center of Es Caló to Pilar de la Mola along more than three and a half kilometers and rises just to see the panorama of the west of the island, with the two most famous beaches on both sides: Platja des Mitgjorn and Tramuntana.
