Agramunt is best known for its traditional nougat and chocolate.

The Pilar de Almenara is a medieval defensive tower located at the top of the Sierra de Almenara, near Agramunt, in the Urgell region of Catalonia. This tower, dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, is 14 meters high and offers stunning panoramic views of the Urgell plain. The tower was used for surveillance and defense against Saracen raids and is similar to other Christian defensive towers in the region. From the top, on clear days, you can see as far as the Seu Vella de Lleida.

From the main road you cannot appreciate the rustic beauty of this town on the plain of Lleida. It is worth entering the town and walking through the streets of the historic center.

It is a port in the Montsec mountain range that allows access to the beautiful valley where the town of Àger is located, with imposing vertical mountains that give a lot of charm and spectacularity to the valley, especially in spring where the green of the trees, the red of poppies and the warm yellow of wheat. The port is very stinky on both sides since the road is very wide, normally with 3 lanes, and with long straights, which take away any type of cycling attraction. However, the views from the port, especially towards the Àger valley, are spectacular. I climbed it on the southern slope, the one that begins in Balaguer. From Balaguer it is almost 25 km, with continuous ups, downs and flat areas. The final uphill section is 5.5 km at 6 - 7%, with a rest section when crossing the town of Sant Josep de Fontdepou

You cannot go through the area without going around the pond, the path that surrounds it is smooth, but you must go calmly. When it's good there are many people walking

It is a geographical reference point for the region, and from where you can see a magnificent view of the Urgell plain, even on a clear day you can see the Seu Vella de Lleida. Near the tower are the ruins of the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Vicenç.

Emblematic monastery from the 12th century, built at a time of repopulation of territories recovered by the Christians. Balaguer was conquered in 1105, but it was not until the middle of the 12th century that repopulation policies began.
