Long before the current metal structure, this spot was already being used in the 19th century as a signal post, where forest rangers gave visual warnings from a wooden platform. It wasn't chosen solely for its height, but also because it's a place where the wind changes abruptly, which helps detect smoke from a great distance. In the 1970s, a rotating fiberglass cabin for continuous surveillance was tested there, but it was discarded because the wind moved it too much. An unassuming spot, but with a hidden history behind its forestry function.

They are spread throughout Spain. In Spain, for example, there are more than 11,000 geodetic vertices established by the National Geographic Institute. They serve as reference points for making maps, measuring terrain, and adjusting GPS navigation systems. This one stands out for its height, but I assure you, you won't miss anything; furthermore, access is difficult.

Quite a quiet place to visit by bike or on foot. In my case I went up from Pineda de Mar passing through Hortsavinya. At the top of Turó Gros there is a watchtower with views of the entire area, if you go up on a cloudless day, it is more than worth going. The tower is abandoned and without a padlock. Quite a recommendable place! I will surely go up there again.

The Sanctuary has its origins in the 16th century and is in the late Gothic style. Since 1984 it has been run by the Auladell Perarnau family. Our location, very close to the top of the Corredor mountain range, allows us to enjoy an excellent landscape.

The Gros hill is not the highest of the mountain range, but it is close (764). The watchtower raises you about 20 meters higher and from the top you have views of 4 bands: 1> On the coast and sea of La Selva and Maresma, 2> In Barcelonès (Collserola can be seen on the horizon), Bages and Vallès (Montserrat), 3> In the Gironès (you can distinguish the Rocacorba with the antennas) and 4> In the massif of Montseny and the castle of Montsoriu. Getting here requires a lot of effort, but it's worth it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

El Montalt is a mountain belonging to the Catalan coastal range, within the Sierra del Corredor and the protected natural area in which it is included. A few kilometers from the coast, the top is surrounded by forest. A common point to face the final meters of ascent is the Coll de la Ferradura, a pass located to the northeast. It is a crossroads of different paths and forest tracks and, from this point, the path to the summit is narrow and has a very steep slope. The northern slope enters completely into the natural park, with different plateaus, other peaks and the Creu de Rupit, an outstanding cross in the middle of the path. To the northeast is the Sanctuary of the Corridor, with a car park and a tourist service office. From this point, through forest tracks, To the south, we find two towns, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and Sant Vicenç de Montalt, well connected by tracks and paths. In the same way possible starting points for the ascent, to the west is the municipality of Dosrius and its population center of Canyamars, while to the east is the town of Arenys de Munt. On the other hand, the first stage of the Camino del Norte, or GR 83 long-distance path, which begins in the town of Mataró, passes very close, along its northern slope. Its top houses a geodesic vertex and a mailbox, offering magnificent views of the entire Maresme coast.
