Santa Catalina de Somoza is a small Spanish village belonging to the municipality of Astorga. It is one of the villages on the Camino de Santiago Francés. The village is located about 9 kilometers from the town of Astorga and has just over 50 inhabitants. The village originates from Hospital de Yuso, whose ruins still remember the place called Orchard Hospital. In this village you will also find the Parish Church of Santa María.

The Castle is from Castrocontrigo, a private property, property of the Neighborhood Council. Nogarejas is the forestry term. By the way, recently rehabilitated.

Interesting geological rock formation at the southern end of Torcas de Barrientos. The exposed rock in this natural park has orange and red tones that are used to make bricks for construction.

Riego de la Vega is a small agricultural town in the Tuerto river basin. The village church is in the center of the village and could be recognized by the tall bell tower.

Walks along paths next to the river Duerna. The Valduerna Valley is surrounded by rich fertile fields, used for the cultivation of cereals and pine trees.
