Añes is located on a hill at the bottom of the Llanteno Valley, at the foot of the Sierra Salvada, crowned by a vertical rock wall. The landscape is characterized by oak and ash forests in the first foothills of the mountain range, and by meadows and rocks as the altitude increases.

Without crossing the Nervión River, we can see the beautiful medieval hilly bridge, the oldest that crosses the Nervión River. Its construction possibly dates back to the 15th century, although little is known about the origins of the bridge, which could well have been used by the old tower of the Luyandos and Ayos located nearby. It is a masonry bridge with a pointed arch, a narrow track with railings on low walls, a hilly profile and a pavement paved with cobblestones that can become somewhat slippery when wet. We continue along the route, keeping the river to our right until we find another footbridge that helps us cross the river.
