Pico del Fraile (864 m) is a mountain in the Cordillera. There is a path to the top. The nearest mountain refuge is Refugio del Tolope, located 1,037 m/3,402 ft NNW from the summit.

This rocky peak is vertical on all its flanks, which makes it necessary to use leather straps during the ascent. It was first climbed in 1924 by Ángel Sopeña, precursor of climbing in the Basque Country. Its name comes from its resemblance to the figure of an abbot.

Located on a plain in Álava to the south of the municipality, on the left bank of the Nervión River, Orduña is known for its impressive mountainous landscape and its Basque cultural heritage. If you make a stop in the town, I recommend visiting the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Antigua and the walls of Tras Santiago.

The top of Mount Gallarraga is 901 meters high. To get to the top, you have to deviate a little less than a kilometer from the GR 123 and make a steep climb of 200 meters. However, the effort is worth it, as magnificent views await you at the top.
