Very pleasant to drive small Pyrenees pass on a narrow road, nicely shaded through the forest. At the top there is a place to stop for refreshments and a bird watching station where you can document that you have observed an eagle or buzzard. Also to Spain nice descent to Etxalar.

Ridden from Etxalar (Spain). The bulk of the pass is done in the undergrowth but the view at the top is worth the detour. The asphalt is in good condition and the slope not too difficult, I recommend!

Small place with some less beautiful foothills but a nice town center and beautiful houses right on the river. Very quiet at (after) lunchtime (siesta). Tourist information is only open very sporadically.
