On the Cañamares River

Beautiful and very well preserved. Salt is currently obtained from them.

The saltwater pools of the Salinas de Imón continue to be produced today after centuries of heritage and wealth. Very unique sight in this landscape.

A fortified and castle-dominated medieval walled city, built by the Mendoza family, Palazuelos is well worth a visit.

Where the Henares River flows into the Salado River, is the small town of Baides. You can take a local train into the city and start your journey. There's even a train museum if that's something you're into.

Reservoir located in the bed of the Cañamares river, within the Spanish municipal area of Pálmaces de Jadraque.

Very interesting place. Salinas in the middle of Guadalajara with an ancient Roman origin. Subsequently exploited since the middle of the 20th century and today totally abandoned and in ruins.

Passing through the Cañamares river reservoir dam is very pleasant, especially on warm days, as it contrasts with this generally arid territory. In its waters you can see various species of birds.
