Refugio Pico Pelado is situated nearby to Cerro Gordo and Sierra de la Pila. It is located on a small peak that will provide us with excellent views.

It is a river beach right next to the dam. Here you can see the work to recover the migration of the only native fish in the area, the southern catfish. To facilitate their journey, structures such as trough ladders, artificial rivers and ramp ladders have been created.

There are four pretty waterwheels that continue to raise water and irrigate the surrounding orchards. The trail begins in the Parque de las Norias and goes through orchards and riverside forest.

The Noria de la Hoya de Don García is located about 600 meters from the Noria Grande, along a path between orchards. This Ferris wheel dates from 1818 although it was rebuilt in 1951. It is made of wood, with a soft iron shaft and plates.

Right next to Cerro Gordo, from here you can enjoy panoramic views of Sierra de la Pila.

The Jarral river beach is a backwater of fresh water that arises from the diversion of the river flow through a dam, a hydraulic structure built to generate electrical energy at the Nicolás Power Plant (1919). This place is a tourist attraction during the summer and a common stop for those who practice adventure sports. Without a doubt, a perfect place to spend the day with the family, surrounded by nature. The visit to this place is completed by walking in the direction of the river, between paths and traditional orchards, to see the old hydroelectric power plant (Central de Nicolás) and take one of the marked trails of the Ricote valley eco-tourist itinerary, section of Soto Damián /cañada Hidalgo.

A true paradise to enjoy spectacular panoramic views after a challenging climb up the Senda del Monje, the only way to get there passing through the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Oro.

Incredible views towards the entire Sierra de la Pila. At the top is this mountain refuge where you can spend the night if you are doing a long journey through the mountains. The road does not present technical difficulty and is very colorful and calm.
