This imposing lighthouse, built in 1839, marks the northernmost point of Santander, towering 30 metres above the rugged cliffs. A short climb takes you to one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Cantabrian coast. Here, ocean, wind and rocks collide in spectacular fashion. Perfect for a panoramic break.

The lower church dates from the beginning of the 13th century and I really liked it. The upper church is from the 14th century and the cloister from the 15th century, but both have been heavily modified.

Centro Botín is a museum of modern art and a cultural center. The building was designed by the architect Renzo Piano. If you feel like it, you can also take the elevator to the roof and enjoy the beautiful view of the city and the sea.
