1월 16, 2026, Ruta Racó del Duc (Vía Verde del Serpis)
A beautiful hike through the Hell's Gorge. The actual route along the railway line, and probably the most interesting section between L'Orcha and Mare de Deu (Barranco del Infierno = Hell's Gorge), is unpaved and unpaved, in some parts very gravelly and rough. Five metal bridges are missing, two stone bridges remain, and six tunnels are traversed, all without lighting.

7월 23, 2025, Vall de la Gallinera
Tucked away in the mountains of the Marina Alta, Vall de Gallinera is one of the Costa Blanca’s most scenic and peaceful cycling routes. The name literally means “Valley of the Chickens” — 🐓🐔 — a nod to the valley’s Moorish past, when this fertile land was known for its farms and poultry. These days, the valley is all about cherries. In spring, the hills burst into bloom with white cherry blossoms — an incredible sight on two wheels. By May and June, the trees are full of ripe, sweet cherries, and local farmers sell them fresh from roadside stalls. 🍒 The route winds through eight tiny villages, like Benissili, Alpatró, and Benirrama, connected by quiet mountain roads with gentle gradients, flowing curves, and spectacular views.

A beautiful, long, not-too-steep climb. Nevertheless, you gain over 800 meters in elevation. Quiet roads, hardly any traffic. Very beautiful scenery.

6월 30, 2025, Puerto de Confrides
The Puerto de Confrides is the longest—and one of the highest—climbs in the area, stretching nearly 25 km from base to summit. It's not overly steep, with a moderate average gradient that keeps it rider-friendly, but the real challenge comes from its length. Expect a sustained ascent through pine forests, olive groves, and sweeping valley views. Pace yourself early, stay hydrated, and enjoy the gradual rhythm—this is a true endurance climb that rewards consistent effort rather than explosive power.

The route runs either from Benilloba or from the valley of the Riu Guadalest. If you start on the coast, you can drive up to almost 1000 meters. On some maps, its name also reads "Port d'Ares". But the sign clearly says "Port de Confrides".

Joan Pellicer described it as "a watchtower of light, a swaying arch and well drawn by chance, an eye looking at the sea, a portal open to those who seek, the moons and sea breezes, the Peña Foradada, grotesque, beautiful and Gaudinian..." .

Next to the ruins of the old Infern Factory, is this beautiful pebble beach that offers a privileged place to cool off in the waters of the river, especially on summer days. A few meters away there are also some benches and tables where you can have a picnic under the shade of the trees before continuing along the Vía Verde.

Great view over the Gallinera valley, the rock arch. Nature is recovering quickly from the 2022 fire.

Beautiful route, with impressive views in the heart of the Safor mountains. Relive with a little imagination the times when the interior began its communication with the coast, being able to improve trade towards the port of Gandia, to reach further and faster. It is a luxury to go through this itinerary with its tunnels. I never tire of doing this route from Villalonga to Lorxa.

9월 21, 2022, Ruta Racó del Duc (Vía Verde del Serpis)
The stretch of track recovered from Lorcha to Villalonga follows the bed of the Serpis river through its canyon. The path is a compacted dirt track, which is sometimes a bit broken by the rains. The ideal is to use a mountain wheel or if your bike is hybrid (or gravel) that has enough grip.

A very beautiful route, but some sections have very broken and rocky paths.
