Nice scenic mountain summit with panoramic 360 degree views. If accessing from the southwest there are a couple of short chains which appear a bit unnecessary but are useful. Egress down the ridge to the northwest has been complicated from 2024 onward due to the large and controversial housing development site. The contractors apparently are under instruction to always provide a suitable route for walkers but you may have to detour slightly.

This is one of the most important and beautiful places in Benissa. There was the Church-Fortress of San Pedro, built in the 16th century, possibly on the remains of a 14th century Arab mosque, for the celebration of Christian worship (between 1550 and 1570), with clearly defensive functions due to the spectacular increase in pirate attacks that occurred during the period throughout the Mediterranean coast.

In the heart of the old town of Benissa, on the pedestrian street of La Puríssima, is the Casa de los Andrés. It was the house of an important family in the municipality, among others that rise along the same street: for example, the House of Pere Bigot. Currently, these two houses house the headquarters of the Universitat d'Alacant in the Marina Alta.

The homepage benissa.net reports that an interesting personality of the city lived in this house: Pedro Ivars Sala. He was born in 1901 and was known throughout the village as "Pere Bigot". When he was 16 years old, he emigrated to the USA. After he returned to Benissa some time later, he had many stories to tell. He spent most of his time playing the accordion and dressed up to tell - especially to children and young people - about his adventures. Throughout the year he always collected many objects with which he then decorated his house for the festivities and created small works of art.
