Such information boards encourage you to stop, and this one is no exception. The unguarded railway crossing there arouses curiosity and anyone who wants to know more can put their ear to the tracks...but then it will be a longer break 😉

As everywhere now, a very nice square (with information boards & benches) was created here... but unfortunately nobody cares about it anymore and everything is degenerating 😟 Only the oak(s) seem to care little 😉

The oak in the middle is reminiscent of a head forester Winkelmann, a plaque lists all the leading forest officials from Celle/Wienhausen over the last 100 years.

From the main road you reach a small parking lot at the bridge. Enough space to start/end a paddling tour here. Table and benches are also available.

The bridge is on a road with relatively heavy traffic, but right next to it you are in a beautiful landscape, the Lachte flows through the forest and you can cycle here and experience a lot of nature.
