A perfect place for bird watching. The Río Lobos dam is an artificial swamp, where 223 species of birds have been detected so far.

The Church of Riolobos would have been built between the 12th and 13th centuries, coinciding with the founding of the town of El Campo de Peñaranda, the municipality to which it currently belongs. Riolobos was, originally, a stop on the cattle line.

The Azud de Riolobos is a recently created artificial reservoir built with the aim of supplying water to existing irrigation projects in an area of the Tierra de Peñaranda region.

The interior of the Castilian plateau has these remote places but with great landscape and environmental value and interest. The Azud de Riolobos is an ideal place for those who enjoy bird watching or simply to appreciate this beautiful landscape surrounded by great tranquility.

Beautiful views from the top of the hill towards the countryside and the Aldearrubia reservoir. The ascent is not difficult and you can opt for a more entertaining trialera for the descent.

Very interesting stroll heading NW following the paved track that comes out next to the bridge. There is also a beach and a fountain next to the church. Of course we also have bars to refresh ourselves and have a snack.
