A beautifully maintained cycle path, with something to see everywhere. Especially in autumn when the fruit trees are laden with fruit 😍

The first lord of the castle was Hildebrand Spenlin from Breisach. The word "Spenlin" means "little shavings" (from a plane). In Alemannic usage, Spenlin is called "Spänle." Without the diminutive, Span = Spon. The castle is mentioned in documents as Spenlins Eck, Span-Egge, or the Sponeck.

Of course, like every day, it's completely crowded. Taking pictures without passersby is almost impossible. The old town captivates everyone, and you can hardly get enough of the colorful, crooked houses, some of which date back to the Middle Ages but have been beautifully restored.

Colmar is a beautiful city and a center of Alsace; unfortunately, it's correspondingly overcrowded. The local art museum is a must-see.

Here you drive on natural ground, sometimes a little wider, sometimes quite narrow through a fairytale forest 😁
