Almadén de la Plata is a municipality in the province of Seville belonging to the Sierra Norte region, in the Sierra Morena. Due to its strategic location, it has been a transit point for numerous civilizations: Iberians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Muslims, etc. They knew how to take advantage of the riches of this enclave, which stands out for its marble quarries. Almadén de la Plata is also located right on the Vía de la Plata itinerary.
