Great viewpoint of the Agadon Valley, a mandatory stop on the way up to Peña de Francia or the descent, to take more photos and read interesting facts on the information panel.

Its origin would date back to the twelfth century. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1994. During the Civil War it was used as a detention center by the rebels since August 1936. In 2015 it was sold to be converted into a luxury hotel, but due to the falsification of documentation by the of buyers, the transaction did not come to fruition. It is currently included in the Red List of endangered heritage.

It is said that this monastery belongs to the 13th century, although there are no remains of that time. It belonged to the Order of the Premostratensians and without a problem, it can be seen from the road!

Not only does it give its name to the wonderful Natural Park, but its peak at 1,727 meters above sea level offers the best panoramic views in all directions. Right there, at the top, is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Peña de Francia of the Dominican Order that is worth visiting. And of course, you cannot return without having taken the obligatory photos at the viewpoint and the Balcony of Santiago, two panoramic points par excellence. You can get here using the means that you like best, either by car, bike or walking, the last modality will give you several alternatives of very picturesque trails from the town of La Alberca or from Camping Sierra de Francia.
