The La Cova Negra municipal natural area is located in the municipality of Játiva, province of Valencia. In the Cova Negra is the Middle Paleolithic site in which remains of Homo Neanderthal have appeared. This natural area is located in the narrow valley formed by the Albaida River, as it crosses the reliefs of the Sierra Grossa, at the exit of the so-called Estret de les Aigües. In the widest meander formed by the Albaida River, at the height of Pico del Paller, you can see the Cova Negra, named for the blackish appearance of its walls.

Track that runs along the north face of the Sierra de Benicadell. Of strong and vigorous relief is the Sierra that serves as a natural border between the regions of Vall d'Albaida to the north and Comtat to the south, and constitutes the provincial limit between the provinces of Alicante and Valencia, rising above a clear landscape, between the extensive valleys of Albaida and Comtat. The track that runs along its northern slope is characterized by being cold, humid, with beautiful pine forests, where the clouds remain attached to its walls, giving it a beautiful high mountain atmosphere.

La Font Freda is a small recreational area next to a historic fountain, and a nearby viewpoint, which usually flows with fresh water even in the summer season. Its history, as we could read on the existing signage on site, is linked to the town, where in past centuries, the Marquises of Albaida and their subjects from Atzeneta and Carrícola claimed possession of the fountain, a lawsuit that gave it its name. to the nearby ravine called del Pleit -lawsuit-. The same recreational area where the Font Freda and the nearby viewpoint are located can be reached by bike or car along the forest track, making it a perfect plan for those who want to do a mountain bike route.

The Cova de les Finestres is located in the Barranc del Pont Trencat, in the municipality of Alfafara. These artificial caves from the Andalusian period look like windows from the outside and are carved in the middle of a steep cliff, generally in river valleys and ravines. It consists of 12 window caves, precisely carved into the hard limestone rock. These windows, looking out into the void, are between 4 and 10 meters high, on a large natural shelter. From a distance, their presence arouses curiosity and intrigue, and questions arise: What secrets are they hiding? Are there rooms behind them? What was its function?

La Cova Negra is a cavity that is located in a gorge called the Strait of Waters. Its black color is mainly due to the smoke from the bonfires made by its former inhabitants, the Neanderthals who occupied it for a few months of the year. An important amount of flint tools and other archaeological remains have been found here.

Since the Spaniards drive very carefully and overtake cyclists at a reasonable distance, it is not a problem to drive over the bridge, which has no cycle lane (or sidewalk to push the bike on).
