I grew up there, long before the observatory and the archaeological works at the Castle. When we were little, it seemed to us that the idea that there was a castle behind the church was a chimera. When it was brought to light, it seemed like magic.

Manresa is the capital of the Bages region. It is a city rich in history and culture. If you are traveling by bicycle, I advise you to dedicate at least a day to stroll through its streets and visit its many monuments and places of interest.

Artés, Santa María d'Olot & Sant Feliu Saserra

Town, head of the municipality of the same name, formed in 1840 from the grouping of Castelltallat, Coaner, Salo, Sant Mateu de Bages and Valls de Torroella, with a little over 600 inhabitants. With more than 100km2, it is the largest municipality in the province of Barcelona. The site of Sancto Matheo is documented since the 10th century. The castle is mentioned for the first time in 1018. During the Second Spanish Republic it adopted the name of Bages d'en Selves.
