Definitely a highlight, but unfortunately, the castle was covered in scaffolding when I visited. The castle dates back to the Middle Ages but was later almost completely rebuilt.

Very frequent crossings, basically non-stop during the day. There is a person selling tickets onboard so you don't need to buy one in advance through the machines that only take small coins. Was only 90c for me and my bike.

An absolute highlight is the transporter bridge from Areeta to Portugalete via the Ria de Bilbao. On the Portugalete site there is a small photo exhibition about transporter bridges. In Germany there is such a construction that crosses the Kiel Canal near Rendsburg.
