Beautiful guarded high mountain refuge located at 2200 meters above sea level, next to the Respomuso reservoir. It has 74 places, but it is advisable to book in advance because it is one of the most typical excursions from the Tena valley. They serve breakfast and dinner and you can reserve a takeaway picnic.

Located at an altitude of 2,100 meters, the reservoir is surrounded by large peaks of the Pyrenees, some of more than 3,000 meters such as Fondellas (3,071) and Balaitous (3,144).

From this point you have very nice views of the hermitage of the Virgen de las Nieves. Every second Friday in August, the residents of Sallent de Gállego celebrate a pilgrimage to this hermitage. It is a tradition that began in 1954, since at the same time that the dam was being built, a hermitage was built there in which a carving of the Virgen de las Nieves was installed. Over time the original carving disappeared but a copy was made which, throughout the year, is kept in the Respumoso refuge until the time of the pilgrimage.

Deep ravine formed by the Aguas Limpias ravine. It is the narrowest and most confined area of the route and in some sections the ground will be wet or muddy. The feeling of freshness, the shade of the forest and the sound of water are especially appreciated in the summer months. Watch out for the railing - don't lean on it!

Sometimes also called Respumoso or even Respumuso, this reservoir in the Valle de Aguas Limpias was originally an ibón that grew with a large dam in the mid-20th century during the Franco regime, despite warnings about the ecological impact it would have.

All the Aragonese lakes are protected as they are included in the Inventory of Singular Wetlands, so any activity that could modify the quality of their waters is prohibited. While bathing is not specifically mentioned, it is understood that bathing with chemicals on the skin such as sunscreens, deodorants, perfumes or creams is negatively affecting the quality of the water, so it cannot be done. These lakes, located at an altitude of 2,233 m, feed the Canal Roya river, which in turn is a tributary of the Aragón river. Bathing in them is not recommended due to the high presence of leeches.
