In the foothills of the Los Ibores region is Castañar de Ibor, on the road from Guadalupe to Navalmoral de la Mata.

Located in the valley of the Tiétar River, the rural town of Talayuela in Casares is worth stopping by if you need to stop to rest during the trip. If you want to have a coffee or eat something, go to the Plaza Real.

Bohonal de Ibor is a small town south of the Valdecañas reservoir on the Tagus River. When you cycle to the Plaza de España, you can have a coffee while admiring the church of San Bartolomé Apóstol.

Spectacular but ghostly remains of a marble temple from an ancient Roman city called Augustobriga. Close your eyes and imagine what the city looked like in its great days.

Navalmoral de la Mata is a large rural farming town centrally located close to major highways and the Madrid-Lisbon railway line. The town was founded at the end of the 14th century as the Campana de la Mata farmhouse in the community of Villa y Tierra de Plasencia. Grain silos dominate the landscape and can be seen for miles.

Bohonal de Ibor is a small town near the Valdecañas reservoir and the Tagus river. Stop at Plaza España to eat something and have a coffee and admire the Church of San Bartolomé Apóstol.

Crossing the Tagus River from Valdemoreno, you begin to climb by bicycle to see the dam of the Valdecañas Reservoir.
