A superb new road that has been modernized here on the west coast. A gigantic challenge for cyclists 🚴♂️ 🚴 and a great route. ⚠️But be careful ⚠️, some drivers let their 🚗 become 🏎️ here. 🤷♂️😲Unfortunately, I saw it live: a Porsche 911, incomprehensible, something like that 😬

Be sure to wear hiking boots!!! The rocks and ground are very slippery and loose in places! Otherwise, a great hike with a great view! :) Don't stray from the trails; according to the hotel staff, there are regular accidents involving helicopters in the region. Not exactly a route for children.

Estellencs's parish church dates back to the 17th century and was expanded in the 19th century. This includes a 16th-century fortified tower, which was converted into a bell tower.

Along the hiking trail that leads northeast of Galatzó through the holm oak forests, views of the surrounding southern Tramuntana mountains occasionally open up. At this point, there's a beautiful, large open space that serves perfectly as a small lookout point. The view here is simply stunning. It's a perfect place to take a short rest after a hike through the holm oak forest.

As Mallorca's southernmost 1,000-meter peak, the Puig de Galatzó (1,027 meters) marks the beginning of the Tramuntana range and offers fantastic views. There are several ways to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level and starting point. The final 200 meters require some surefootedness, but are rewarded with a spectacular panorama of the island. Because of its distinctive shape, it is also called the "Matterhorn of Mallorca."

Up until about 300 meters before the summit, the hike to Puig de Galatzo is relatively easy and relaxed. From the foot of Galatzo, you already have a magnificent view of the surrounding Tramuntana mountains. Those who dare to tackle the remaining 300 somewhat strenuous meters will be rewarded with an even more beautiful view of the northwestern Tramuntana. With a bit of luck, you might even spot black vultures.

The Pas de Cossis is a challenging, partially exposed mountain pass located on the route to Puig de Galatzó. The pass consists of rocky terrain with some steep sections. In my opinion, the route to Galatzó via the pass is much more beautiful and highly recommended than the GR221.

Highly recommended, a very beautiful view in all directions. The last climb is a bit difficult to find, pay attention to the ground markings.
