Next to the church, behind the bicycle parking in the square, there is a fountain with drinking water.

The church has a basilica-like floor plan with three naves, a crossing, and three semicircular apses. The central nave is higher than the side aisles and has a slightly pointed barrel vault. The side aisles, in contrast, have quarter-circle vaults. The main facade of the church features a striking Gothic stained-glass window and a rose window above it. On one of the side walls is the imposing and very well-preserved Romanesque St. Raphael Portal. Inside, it houses the Gothic tomb of Father de Rovira, who brought the relics of the martyr St. Vincent here in the 15th century.

Beautiful old town of Besalu. Well worth a visit for its old streets, square, and its history of resistance against fascism. Can be busy but cars are kept out of the narrow streets

On the side of the road there are 10-15 steps into the forest where you can find a cold water top

Fantastic gorges that today have enough water to immerse yourself in with your whole body. Today I was the only one who swam in them, but it was a "tasty" after almost 50 km and 1400 meters of elevation gain.

Don't be fooled by the name, the only thing left of the Hostal is its name. However, it serves as a reference point. From here you can take the route to Albanyá, to Bassegoda or to France (Vilarouge and St Llorenç de Cerdans)
