The lighthouse is currently a small, upscale hotel, the result of an idea by a Berlin company that converts unused lighthouses into hotels. The location is truly unique and secluded. The kiosk, a few hundred meters away, is the only, but uniquely authentic, nearby food option. However, those staying here likely arrive by car.

The many dragon trees are at least as impressive as those in Las Tritias.

The first optics were powered by olive oil. It was later replaced by a system whose wicks were soaked in paraffin or petroleum. Even later, the signals were sent using electric light. It was not until 1982 that the old lighting device, which Henry Lepaute had made in Paris, was replaced by a more modern one. This led to a slight change to the top of the tower, and the adjacent outbuilding has been completely preserved in its original form.

Beautiful path from La Palmita towards Barlovento. It goes up and down again and again... Great views over the north coast included! Beautiful hike!!

Very nice, small, quiet village in the north of the island. Here you have everything you need for your daily needs. Bank, gas station, supermarket, etc. Very colorful village!
