There is a branch off the main path at the westernmost tip that leads down to the sea on the other side. Not as well secured as the main path, but not dangerous. Here you can usually enjoy your hiking break in peace and without Insta hotspotters!

Apart from the magnificent view of the caldera and Puerto de Tazacorte, you can experience something else exciting here: During a snack break, some crows or ravens quickly came and kept us company. The intelligent birds have come up with a lot of ideas to get their hands on treats. They were so trusting that they even ate pieces of a rice cake out of your hand. A great experience👍🏻!
