It's a peaceful village, ideal for rural getaways and getting away from it all. Surrounded by olive groves and Mediterranean forests, it boasts an interesting historical heritage and good connections to Talavera and the Cabañeros National Park.

The village of San Martín de Pusa is located in the heart of the former seigniory. However, it was founded by residents of the nearby, older settlement of El Pozuelo. Initially, this village was known as "El Pozuelo" because of a well that supplied it with water. With the repopulation efforts, the new settlement arose further west of the original one and took the name "San Martín de Valdepusa" after a church built in honor of Saint Martin of Tours and the Lord of Valdepusa, who owned the land. In 1517, the name "Pozuelo" gradually fell out of use, leaving only the name of the saint.

San Martín de Pusa was first established in 1357 but with a different name. The current name was established in 1517. In the 1950s its population exceeded 2,000 inhabitants, but currently it is around 600. There are several heritage buildings to see here, including the Town Hall, the Hermitage of the Santísimo Cristo de Valdelpozo and the Parish Church of San Martín Obispo.

Here you will find a small town of less than 300 inhabitants. Some of the interesting things to see if you visit the area are the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Hermitage of San José Obrero in La Fresneda de la Jara, the Church of San Lorenzo Justiniano in La Fresneda de la Jara and the Hermitage of the Virgin of the Valley.

Las Hunfrías is a small town of less than 50 inhabitants that sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. To the south of the town you will find green areas full of oaks, holm oaks, pines and chestnut trees, as well as shrubs such as cistus, broom and ferns.
