Bridge over the Segura River

Pico de los Almeces, at 1,123 meters, is the highest point in the Sierra de Ricote mountain range. Reaching it is a challenge for hiking enthusiasts, but the reward is well worth it: breathtaking panoramic views, unspoiled nature, and a unique sense of accomplishment. The circular route is approximately 17 km long, with an elevation gain of 770 meters. It begins on the outskirts of the town of Ricote and winds through stunning natural landscapes, passing through pine forests, rosemary bushes, and trails that meander through the mountains.

The viewpoint is located on the side of the road. I advise you to stop for a few moments and enjoy the views of the Ulea Castle, the Pila de la Reina Mora and the Ojós orchard. A real spectacle.

The Ricote Valley on the Segura River offers a very picturesque and quiet walk where you can see various places of interest along the route passing through several towns. You can follow the long-distance trail GR127.

Make sure you have enough water and leave the tough climb on time

The viewpoint is located on the side of the road. I advise you to stop for a few moments and enjoy the views of the castle of Ulea, the Pila de la Reina Mora and the Huerta de Ojos. A real show.
