Nice and shaded hike on 2/3 from a departure of the pass perfect for a family outing. The point of view is splendid canigou on one side, sea on the other. The rocky and alpine summit contrasts with the more forested approach.

This summit follows the ridge line which forms the Franco-Spanish border. To get there, you cross the imaginary line that separates the two countries and you leave the GR 10 for a few hundred meters. It is characterized by impressive rock formations.

This rocky promontory, also called Roc de France, is part of a series of “rocks” which crown the Salines massif. Together they form part of the Franco-Spanish border.

Great climb from Perthus! As soon as you have passed two curves, the highway noise disappears and the climb through lots of forest to the top is an absolute pleasure!

In the snow very difficult to find the way but at the top a wonderful view

Wonderful ! real sensations of altitude. Loop path. Departure from the Albère town hall. It climbs strong, mostly in the shade. Little by little, sumptuous panoramas offer themselves to the gaze. The summit is more mineral. Both the ascent and the descent are no problem for people prone to vertigo like me. A little practice, take your time not to get into the red, have good feet with sometimes unstable stones and slippery leaves on the descent. Sticks seem essential to me. A trail not to be missed in good weather.
