A place where I'm not sure whether I found it magnificent or ugly...

This building is amazing! You need to look at it for a while to understand how the apartments and balconies are arranged. A true architectural highlight!

It looks somewhat like a parade ground in Eastern European capitals.

A magnificent building that could be admired for hours!

It is the symbol of the city's prosperity in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It is home to two unmissable landmarks: the Opéra Comédie, an Italian-style theater built in 1888, and the statue of the Three Graces, which dominates the fountain. The square is one of the largest pedestrian complexes in Europe.

Rather to be done on foot (portage for the bike, except perhaps with a mountain bike via the track not the wooden staircase)...but superb place with a clear 360° view!
