Very beautiful heritage of the Bievre valley

Very practical passage between the Bièvre valley and Viroflay / Meudon. This straight and rather steep section is a little sad but it is passable by all and in complete safety.

Warning! A good part of the tour is on the side of the road with little or no sidewalk. You have to cross national roads without any pedestrian crossing! Not suitable for a walk.

Each of these crosses that cyclists encounter in the villages or on the fields is a sign of remembrance of the crucifixion, but also of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "Here on earth there is His memory, but in the kingdom of heaven there is His presence: this presence is the joy of those who have already attained salvation. The memory is our consolation, as we are still wanderers, travelling towards our homeland." (Bernard of Clairvaux)

This oak was discovered by Breton missionaries in 1895. It is surrounded by 4 dolmens and a large menhir. The oak is 32m high. It is one of the most beautiful passages in the Meudon Forest.

Short climb on cycle path

In the forest of Meudon and in the town of Vélizy-Villacoublay, the Trou aux Glove pond delights with its lush vegetation. Its 30 m2 central island was rehabilitated in 2017 to serve as a refuge for various varieties of birds.

A singular place, this chapel does not seem to be used much.
