Great hike, pretty easy overall. There are 3 small, old difficulties on the Orléans road, cobblestones in all directions and some brambles. The climb to the church of Saint Yon, and the climb along the Bois des Roches path towards the naturist camp also have cobblestones! Well, there's also the 80 km distance. No GPS needed for the last few kilometers.

Affiliated with the Abbey of Cluny, the Basilica of Longpont also owes its influence to its geographical location. It marked the end of the first stage of the Way of Saint James from Paris, which originally began at the foot of the Saint Jacques Tower, then later from the forecourt of Notre Dame Cathedral.

In the south of Paris, Longpont-sur-Orge is a town known to walkers on the Camino de Santiago. Far from Spain, the town is indeed a stage of the pilgrimage. Its Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Garde basilica is worth a visit.

The Old Bridge of Balizy, or the Templar Bridge, spans the Rouillon. Hidden in the heart of the Templar Woods, and surrounded by magnificent forest paths, it is a superb place for a mountain bike ride.
