The castle of Forges-les-bains was built in the 17th century, before being remodeled in the 18th century by Edme Mathurin Le Jariel, squire of the king. Currently, some parts are dilapidated, others restored. It is the in-between.

The place takes its name from Saint-Yon, a Christian martyr beheaded by Roman soldiers on this hill. The church and the Porte des Bourdeaux are the remains of a village whose strategic position made it possible to monitor the Orge valley and the Brie plain.
