The Place des Carmes is one of the most beautiful squares in Toulouse. Today, there's nothing remarkable about this square, but in the past, from the 13th to the 19th century, it was home to a church and monastery of the monks of the Order of Mount Carmel, or the Grande Carmelites. It's no coincidence, then, that the square and the metro station located here are named after it.

Rue du Taur crosses the friendly Arnaud-Bernard district. Starting from Place du Capitole, it offers one of the most picturesque views of the city with the bell tower of the St Sernin basilica and the buildings with warm facades. It is a slightly paved road in its center and semi-pedestrian.

But its second name, square Boulingrin, refers to the English bowling green, this rectangle of grass where you play boules.
