A city in the Lille Métropole urban community, Lambersart is located in Hauts-de-France, in the Nord department. The town, bordered by the Deûle and the Bois de Boulogne, is not far from Lille, Lomme and Saint-André-lez-Lille. Known since the beginning of the 12th century, the town of Lambersart was once a simple agricultural village located on the banks of the Weppes. However, it was not until the 19th century that it experienced rapid development, in the shadow of Lille. Long an industrial city, the town has preserved several vestiges of this economic past through textile factories and laundries. A garden city in the 1930s, Lambersart is today a pleasant town appreciated for its unique setting, which earned it four flowers in the competition for cities and villages in bloom in France.

Departing from Le Nautic after a coffee, a beautiful 30km loop through the countryside. Very few cars. Return to the starting point to enjoy a good beer accompanied by fries. 🚴♂️🍻 🍟

Even if the river crosses the town of Marcq en Baroeul; it is called “the Brand”. The course is located in a peri-urban area, but you don't realize it, it is so calm and peaceful. Gerard
