Magnificent and impressive natural cavity that can be explored with a lamp. At the bottom there are beautiful ice formations even in summer. This phenomenon is due to the shrinkage of the cavity which traps cold air at the bottom. When moisture seeps through the ceiling, the temperature is low enough for the water to freeze and form stalactites.

Magnificent view and several impressive and accessible hollow "coolers" which are indicated (10 points to be indicated on the map and trail). The Combe Laval circus route takes you up between 253 m and 1015 m above sea level. This road is very popular with cyclists for its exceptional panorama. A veritable cornice carved into the rock, you can reach the Col de la Machine at 1015m offering you a view of the entire valley below.

Having a preference for doing the Ascension at the start of my hike, I therefore started it in the other direction. In addition it allowed me to save the points of view for the end as a reward. I first took a liking to this climb and this magnificent view that I discovered up there. Then access to the edge of the water (and if you are brave you can add the round trip to the green waterfall (not currently on the photos). On the other hand, I was very disappointed to discover when in fact a whole small section of the hike is on a relatively busy departmental road and without space reserved for hikers (I do not agree with Quilier so no technical difficulty because doing this hike with children or a dog can be dangerous ) . Then we continued our journey to the white waterfall where we discovered this pretty water point. But here again a difficulty presented itself to us because we had to cross the river and that suddenly without equipment and with my dog at the end of the leash… Fortunately it went well and we did not have many kilometers left because with wet feet to do the 10 km and the ascent would not have been possible. So I don't regret having done it in this way despite being terrified. The views were superb and the coolness did us good.
