At the top, sublime viewpoint, an incredible panorama of the region, be careful, the climb is very difficult in places. Minimum equipment required.

Miramax le Vieux, situated on a hill, offers a wonderful view of the Étang to the south and the Alpilles to the north. The place captivates with its enchanting little alleys, through which beautiful panoramas open up again and again and cute places invite you to linger. Definitely worth a visit and getting off your bike! They also serve excellent ice cream if you need some energy at this point on the tour. ;-)

Prehistoric habitat, really worth seeing!

The Calès caves are located at the eastern end of the Alpilles massif. This site was once a habitat which was occupied from prehistoric times until the 15th century. They are spread over several levels of the cliff, troglodyte habitats dug by man and a virgin and child which overlooks the site. The statue was erected in 1866 by the Marquis de Panisse-Passis on the site of the keep.

Among the most beautiful hikes in the Alpilles, but be careful, access is sometimes technical: wear good shoes.

The Opies are the highest point of the Alpilles massif, at 496 meters above sea level. Located in the eastern part of the Alpilles, this summit owes its name to the incorrect transcription of the Provençal name of the massif: Aupiho which means “small Alps”.

The Saint-Denis chapel is located on the north side of the Calès site. It is accessed by a steep path beginning above the Saint-Denis fountain. It was built around 1150 and was the first parish church of the community of Calès and later of the village of Lamanon. It was restored several times between 1989 and 1999. Thanks to these restorations, the church remains the only intact element of the medieval occupation of Calès.
