Simple but worth seeing, it is worth looking inside the church

The church was consecrated on the site of a previous building on Ascension Day 1995 by the Bishop of Iceland. The adjacent cemetery, however, is much older. Its history probably goes back to the Middle Ages.

The Arctic Fox Centre is a non-profit research and exhibition centre focusing on the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) – the only native land mammal of Iceland. The Arctic Fox Centre was founded on 15 September 2007 in Sudavik Westfjords. The founders were 42, mainly locals, tourism companies and communities in the Westfjords. They all share an interest in Arctic foxes and believe in promoting ecotourism in Iceland. The idea of the Arctic Fox Centre comes from Prof. Pall Hersteinsson from the University of Iceland, who acts as a quality witness for the centre. Beautiful waterfall! If you are hiking or cycling and you are spending just one night you are allowed to camp at the designated area (between the toilets and the main path).

In addition to its original activities, the port is also the place where the only bike shop far and wide is to be found (the Hub). Here you will find a second-hand shop (if you're lucky you can get hold of rain pants), a hardware store, the tourist information center and a "Helly Hansen Superstore" where you can get everything from shackles and bolts to the sou'wester. There are up to three cruise ships a day, then things quickly get hectic, but that will pass. Recommended at the port entrance is "Dokkan brugghús" the only brewery and at the same time bistro/restaurant with fine craft beer.
