Nérac Castle was founded in the 14th century, within a medieval town surrounded by walls and backing onto the Baïse River. Beginning in 1491, Alain d'Albret modernized this first tower and had three wings built. Moirax is located on top of a hill, a few kilometers south of Agen and the Garonne. A medieval village dominated by the Cluniac Priory from the 11th century. A jewel of Romanesque art, the imposing Notre-Dame church remaining from the Priory is a real architectural marvel. It has been perfectly restored and has been listed as a historical monument since 1846.
