Sublime and unobstructed views

This very pleasant trail offers superb views of the Aravis massif in front of you along its entire length.

The refuge occupies an idyllic setting with a huge panorama of the Aravis mountain range and the Bouchet valley. It has a large dormitory with 30 beds. It is also possible to eat there and book a half-board package which includes breakfast and dinner.

Accessible in all seasons, winter snowshoeing is truly a superb outing (the snowshoe markings are well done, find out about the opening of the trail at the tourist office where there is also a free map of the snowshoe trails marked).

col des Annes is about 7.5km (as the crow flies) further to the northeast this section is only the entrance to the pass at 1723 m

This pass, relatively unknown, nevertheless culminates at an altitude of 1,721 meters in the Aravis. Located in the heart of mountain pastures, it is on the heights of Grand-Bornand and Reposoir. Several restaurants offer breathtaking views of the Aravis mountain range.

Named after the Borne River which crosses it, the town of Grand-Bornand is a charming and authentic Alpine town, located to the west of the Aravis mountains. The town offers excellent skiing opportunities in the winter and offers great mountain biking and hiking trails in the summer. In addition, it is relatively close to the large city of Annecy and the ski resort of La Clusaz.
