Due to the location of the hilltop castle at 230 m above sea level. NHN in the Hasenbachtal behind Sankt Goarshausen am Rhein, it is relatively unknown, but one of the most important and unusual castle complexes in Rhineland-Palatinate. It is part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site.
