The themed trail dedicated to the painter and poet Franz Hein, who ran an art school for young women in Obersteinbach from 1896 to 1918, leads through the town and its surroundings along a 3.3 km route with a total of 13 information panels. A beautifully designed and lovingly maintained memorial with a small stone staircase. The statue of the Virgin Mary is unusual for a war memorial and symbolizes protection, comfort, and hope in the face of great suffering. It commemorates three soldiers (Alfred Molinet, Friedrich Molinet, and Michael Darsch) who fell in World War I.

Here you'll find a covered wash fountain with benches inside for a rest. Directly opposite, covered hiking maps are located in a small wooden hut.

Here you'll find delicious food and drinks at fair prices. A larger menu is available for lunch and dinner. In the afternoon, a smaller hiking menu with salads, snack plates, snails, etc.
