바르도네키아에서 출발하여 콜레 델 솜므일리에르를 향해 고산으로 꾸준히 올라갑니다. 길이는 26킬로미터이며, 그중 약 19킬로미터는 자갈길이고, 높이는 3,000미터가 조금 넘습니다. 숲길은 점차 폭포, 바위가 많은 지그재그 길, 고산 호수, 점점 황량해지는 풍경으로 바뀝니다. 마지막 구간은 더 험하지만, 오르막길은 대부분 탈 만합니다. 정상에서는 길이 그냥 끝납니다. 프랑스-이탈리아 국경에 있는 외딴 곳으로, 자전거로 도달할 수 있는 유럽에서 가장 높은 지점 중 하나입니다.

Mountain over 3000 which is located on the Italian-French border. From Col d'Etiache you start looking for the various stone cairns and follow them faithfully to reach the summit. At first it might seem like a difficult climb, but in reality it is difficult E, just don't go off the route looking for the various cairns in time

Colle del Sommelier, not a difficult climb, the first stretch of asphalt is smooth despite the slopes. From 2600 m the dirt road becomes very bumpy.

The Col du Sommeiller culminates at 2995 meters above sea level. It is climbed by a long gravel track on the Italian side. You will come across many bikers and 4x4s during your ascent. It is possible to descend by its French side, however the trace of the path is almost non-existent. If you plan to go down this side, make sure the weather is good, that you have a good GPS and that you have an excellent technical level.
