Very nice place where you can also take a shower if you are bivouacking in the neighboring area. The team is young and very friendly, the food is excellent. Go for it!

A very cozy inn with young, excellent cooks. A lovely place for a cup of coffee or a drink. You can also enjoy a delicious dinner. Choose a spot on the terrace or in the cozy indoor area. Also nice: staying in a private room or in the small dormitory. More info: www.auberge-du-savel.eatbu.com

The Col de la Croix de Fer culminates at an altitude of 2063 meters. It is the big neighbor of the Col du Glandon, another crossing point between the Maurienne and Oisans valleys. The Tour de France has used this pass 21 times. It is one of the most beautiful in France, a must-visit point for any mountain-loving cyclist!
