Bleckede Castle is home to the Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve, where you can discover the diversity of the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve. The observation tower offers a beautiful view all around – a perfect introduction to your tour of the Elbe Valley. Here you can walk along the extensive lakes of the former Elbe. From the dyke, hikers have a wonderful view from above of the impressive bird life in the water.

Café Hofliebe in Walsmburg. Beautifully located between Neu Darchau and Alt Garge or Bleckede. Ideal for a rest during a bike ride or hike. The cake is delicious! I took a photo of the opening times.
