Please note that Châteaugay is one of the five crus in the AOC Cotes d’Auvergne. The other crus are Boudes, Corent, Chanturgue and Madargue. The authorized grape varieties are; Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. To be consumed in moderation

At this point there is a small rapid in front of a sandbank where you can put your feet in the water to cool off (don't forget your towel!). The real waterfalls (petit et grand Cornand) are above the Rout Beauvaleix and are signposted.

The town with the characteristic bridge is very nice to look at.

Located in the Limagne plain, Maringues is a village with a unique character. The city is rich in its past. Go here to explore the city of tanners and stop in front of the monumental statue of the tanner. Stroll through its charming streets and enjoy its market (Monday), one of the most typical in Auvergne.

The cellars of Châteaugay can measure 10 meters deep, thus guaranteeing the preservation of the wine. The process is clever: they are stone constructions pierced with large wooden gates that hug the sides of the hill. Aeration is done by small ventilation chimneys that come out of the ground.

The Saint-Amable basilica of Riom is the story of the construction of a church and a baptistery during the 5th century. Over the centuries, the building has been modified several times and thus offers an undeniable archaeological interest. After Clermont Cathedral, Saint-Amable is the largest building in the diocese of Clermont. The basilica has been listed as a historical monument since 1840.

Stone constructions pierced with large wooden gates follow the sides of the hill. Small ventilation chimneys come out of the ground. The temperature of 10 to 12° C is conducive to the conservation of wine in all seasons.
