Former park of a property of Nathaniel Johnston (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathaniel_Johnston), nothing remains of the buildings but the clumps of rhododendrons lining the paths have remained and are currently in the middle of the forest. Currently, in August 2023, they appear to have suffered from heat or a lack of water. But perhaps they will regain all their shine in spring. Anyway the place is pleasant even without the flowers. Please note, this place is part of a group of hiking trails, certain portions of which are not authorized during the hunting season (https://www.gironde.fr/sites/default/files/2017-02/trac%C3% A9%20des%20celtes.pdf).

Good surface, built a bit narrow especially at the roundabout.

The surface is great, better than the EV1 currently. Former railway line, therefore dead straight through the landscape.

Straight ahead for an almost endless amount of time. Over smooth asphalt, almost always with a headwind and in the blazing sun. And very important, keep your mouth shut otherwise there will be a lot of protein (mosquitoes).
